Entries will be open between 20th March 2020 (12noon) - Sunday 11th May 2020 (12noon), unless full prior to this.
1 mile course, on sports fields. With a half mile for the youngest runners.

The run route will loop around the sports fields of Hardenhuish and Sheldon Schools with some slight undulations and several cheer locations around the course. The finish will be under the arch near the registration.
Race Number & Timing Chip Collection
You will be able to arrive on the day of the The May Mile and pick up your race number and timing chip on the day of the event. Collection will be open between 10:00 and 11:30 on the day. Registration must be completed 30 minutes prior to the start time.
Ample parking is available on site at Sheldon School. LPS Events Ltd will not be held liable for any parking infringements.
Travel times by car vary, however as a guide you can get here from the following cities by google maps. The nearest motorway junction is J14-J17 on the M4.

LPS Food will be serving food at Devizes Half Marathon with a range of hot food including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. There will be a range of drinks and tasty snacks available as well. This will be open from 07:30am on race day.
CoffeeGang is an award-winning mobile coffee van supplying bean-to-cup fairtrade Colombian coffee. Additionally we supply dreamy hot chocolate sourced in the Dominican Republic and a variety of teas, milk shakes and soft drinks. Our home-made cakes always go down a storm too. See you at the race finishing line!

This year we will have DJ Disco Dion live on the finish line to encourage you along the final stretch. DJ Disco Dion is a professional DJ with many years experience in entertaining a wide variety of events.
Presentations will take place at approximately 12:45pm.
Winners presentations will be awarded to the following; 1st, 2nd, 3rd male and 1st, 2nd & 3rd female overall regardless of age for this event, all entrants will be provided with a chipped finish time and bespoke race medal. Entrants will be categorised in the following; U19, U17, U15, U13, U11, U9, U7 & U5
Results will be available shortly after the event and uploaded onto LPS Events website under the results page. There will be a link to the event photographs from the results page also.
You can enter through our partner RaceNation where you can update your entry if anything changes closer to the event. If you require a postal entry, please contact us. Entries on the day for this event will be accepted for an additional charge.
A copy of the UKA rulebook can be found here. We will have a UK Athletics Race Adjudicator present on the day of the event.
Please familiarise yourself with the rules to prevent disappointment on the day.
For your entrance fee, you will receive a bespoke medal, designed especially for this event. Electronic timing is available for the event and you will receive a gun start chip time. You will have access to a free online training programme and also you will be part of the 2020 May Mile.
As soon as we receive your entry for this event, the money is budgeted towards the successful delivery of this event. For this reason refunds will not be permitted once you have entered. You can view our policies here. By signing up to this event you are agreeing to these policies and understand that refunds are not possible.
In the event that this event is cancelled due to severe weather or other causes outside our control, we will be advertising an alternative date or hosting this as a virtual event. Although we do not anticipate any cancellation of this event, your entry will be automatically transferred to one of these options and no refund will be provided.
Training for this event
You should ensure that you train your body for endurance road running events and build up your stamina. This will enhance your overall fitness. A combination of strengthened joints and also fitness will aid in your successful completion of this event and assist with your recovery after the event. As you will be running for a long period of time, you should ensure that you train for the event by undertaking some longer running sessions. We also recommend that you trial your race nutrition prior to race day.
